I really love wearing clothes with white, beige and all kinds of pale fabrics. If it has something to do with lace, then that’s even better.
What’s in your hand
you’re pinned down to routines.
Elevate and leave
a flickering screen.
Go out. Do something different. Speak another language. Laugh differently. Watch another things. Smell new odors. Climb new walls. Run through new paths.
And then look back, and also love your routines, for those are what make us feel like we belong somewhere, make us feel that we’ll miss home someday. We are home. Home is the present.
Elevate and leave. Like Junip in their calm yet strong song “Don’t Let It Pass” suggest.
Words are flying out
like endless rain into a paper cup
they slither while they pass
they slip away across the universe.
Pools of sorrow, waves of joy
are drifting thorough my open mind
possessing and caressing me.
Nothing’s gonna change my world.
Haven’t you had the urgent feeling of going away for a while? It’s like, this feeling of wanting everything to change, the paradigms, the feelings, the memories, the people, the society. Like going to somewhere else across the universe.
This song, in case I need to explain to someone who’s been living on a cave not knowing about the world and general culture, is Across The Universe by one of the best and most trascendental bands of all times: The Beatles.
Thanks to music, and songs like these, it takes us only one slightly press to a play button to somehow escape away, for a moment, for a couple of delightful minutes, to another place across the universe.
With every morning chore
you look around once more
so that your eyes will adjust
to all the grain and dust…
Life is too short to waste it in stupid things. Stupid things like city traffic or standing in a line for hours. Pointless things like fights, like getting mad at someone. Call me crazy but I think that there are certain things that are just too dull to pause, and too dull to care about. Yes, like that Junior Boys brilliant song: Dull To Pause. So think twice when you’re about to spend some of your time in things that are just not worth it.
In the morning I’ll be with you
But it will be a different “kind”
A good friend of mine told me that relationships are like food, they all have an expiry date. Some of them are like fresh vegetables, natural and healthy since the beginning but they can’t last too much. Others are like blue cheese, they take some time to prepare and accomplish but they can last much more once they’re ready. And others are like canned food, they’re never gonna be as natural and real as vegetables, or cheese, but they can last a lifetime. I think, from my experience, that I’d rather be eating a fresh lettuce than canned peaches. But that’s just me.
This song is skinny love, from Bon Iver. I’m sorry if this sounds too melancholic.
